Show Us Your Life

It's show us your wedding party and flowers over at Kelly's Korner this week!

We had an amazing group of people in our wedding party. I had my lovely sister, as my Maid of Honor, standing by my side. My friends Terrie and Laura as my bridesmaids. I think back to this one photo I have of us standing in a line helping each other hook bra clasps and zip up dresses, it was a very humorous picture. Jason had his family by his side; his brother as his Best Man, and his cousin Mark & his father Jerry as his groomsman. We had some humorous pictures of the whole group, but I wanted to show a more serious side :-)

Here are my lovely ladies and I

I couldn't forget my adorable niece, Olivia. She made a very pretty flower girl. She added a humorous touch to our wedding too. She loved to knock on the girl's behinds as the ceremony progressed, even through prayer. She was too cute! Here is a peek at the girl's flower arrangements, so colorful. I loved them!

I wish I could remember what the name of my flowers were. I didn't want to go with my favorite flower, white roses, it seemed too traditional. I wanted something more elegant.

I loved them!

iHeartFaces~ At the Beach

This week over at iHeartFaces the theme is At the Beach. Being the fact that we uprooted our family earlier this year AWAY from the beach, it was nice to go back and reminisce. The sand between my toes, the sounds of the waves crashing, fun with Kainen in the sun, and romantic walks on the beach with the hubby. OH! How I miss the beach. <3<3

On one particular trip, Kainen was a very observant little boy. He was fascinated by all of the beached items. He stopped at every little thing and checked each one out. He stumbled upon a little crab and played with the hermit for a good 5 minutes. He was in awe, I believe, at how tiny and fast it was.

I chose this picture as my entry because I just love the attention he gave the little creature, ever so gently nudging him to the ocean! I also like the shadow that was produced of Kainen on a very beautiful, sunny day at the beach.

Head on over to www.iheartfaces.com to check out all of the At the Beach entries this week!

Bad News brings Good Thoughts

We got the news that we can't get financed for a house just yet. It's kind of depressing in a way, but I can only think that there will be something bigger and better when our time comes for us to be able to get a house. For now, we will work on getting our credit score where it needs to be and focus on paying all our bills fully and on time. Sometimes I feel responsible as to why we can't get a house at this time. I chose to be a stay at home mom and seeing that it doesn't pay the bills...it doesn't help us out financially. However, I wouldn't trade it for a million dollars to go to work and leave my little man in a daycare. I love seeing him grow, witnessing firsthand all his accomplishments! It's such a great feeling<3<3
I'm hoping we can get it all figured out before the deadline of the $8000 government aid approaches in December, it would be a very nice thing to recieve.....OR before we have our second child **Not pregnant yet, still trying though**
I have a feeling that when we start our home search again, there will be just as many if not more beautiful and better houses to choose from. I'm looking forward to starting the hunt again soon.
I know God will bless us with an amazing house again,
and I will patiently wait for that time to come!

Show Us Your Life

It's Show Us Your Wedding Dress on Kelly's Korner!

My husband, Jason, and I just celebrated two and a half years of marriage.
It's nice to go back and look through all our wedding photos, brings back such memories!
I was in love with this dress, it was everything I wanted AND more. I believe it was actually the third dress I tried on :-) I went in to the store knowing exactly what I wanted, so it made my dress shopping experience less stressful.
It was a sparkling white satin, A-line dress. It had cap sleeves with metallic embroidery, which continued down the chiffon split front and to the floor on my chapel train. I wore 2 veils, one to go on top and one that clipped under. I loved the look, and it allowed my husband to unveil his bride with ease!
I'm sad to say that my dress is hanging in it's bag in a closet. I'm hoping to one day get it preserved *and repaired, hubby ripped the train* so I can admire it even more when our 50th anniversary comes along!
These are all my favorites of the two of us on our wedding day!
I love the colors of the sunset behind us
Here is just one of our many "Kiss the Bride" shots

Taking a break, taking in the views, and just taken with my husband
My most favorite picture of myself, never guessed I would be such a beautiful bride :-)
as other women "Show Us Your Life" Wedding Dress
I'll be back next Friday to show off my amazing flowers and my wonderful wedding party

Catching up

I've been quite slack lately when it comes to updating my blog. So many things have happened since I last wrote. More reasons to smile, of course!

~My father had a triple bypass on July 16th and is doing well. To share some humor with you.. My father has a "road" on his leg from where they took arteries and my cute little sister said that he should get cars tattooed on either side :-) Here is my dad with Kainen earlier this year. He still looks better than ever. He celebrated his 55th birthday on Tuesday, 1 day after being discharged from the hospital

~ I finally perfected Kainen's birthday invite...they are sent and we are awaiting replies :-) I can't believe my baby will be 2 in two weeks!! He's growing up way too fast
