Getting to Know ME!!

1. Have you ever snooped around someone else's house?

I think I snooped around an old boyfriend's room, but not someone else's house. I have a bad guilty conscience...even if I wasn't caught, I'd most likely tell on myself!

2. Can guys and girls be friends?

Depends on the situation. I'm not sure ex's should be friends, it becomes difficult and feelings could get hurt. Then you have the gay guys and gay girls...I have a couple of gay uncles and I wish they were around more often, they're so much fun to hang out with. So, it depends on the situation

3. Can you curl your tongue?

I don't know how many times I've answered this question, it's like they're all rubbing it in my face that I can't do it :( LOL It must be a popular thing to do, but unfortunately, I'm not that talented.

4. Have you ever stolen anything?

Not on purpose! I've walked out of the store a couple of times with things under my purse un-purchased. Nothing big though, a thing of q-tips and a makeup brush are the only things. I'm not one to steal intentionally!

5. Would you rather talk on the phone or text?

It depends on the person. There are some people I really don't want to "talk" to, therefore I text. I like talking to my family mostly....but we do text every once in a while. Gotta keep in touch somehow.

6. Memorial Day plans?

Working :( I had yesterday off, but I'm working today and tomorrow. I'm not complaining though, I got money coming in! I would've loved to have gone to King's Island, but maybe another time.

7. What do you do to relax?

I like to blog, of course! I could use a glass of wine and a good book or movie every once in a while, too! I need some relaxation in my life

8. Do you do anything to honor those that have died fighting for our freedom?

I married a US Navy man, he's retired now. I keep families of those fallen and still fighting today in my thoughts every day!

The Fabulous Five Question Friday

It's that time again for 5QF! I can't believe how fast these weeks are flying by. We're looking at the end of May already...Summer is almost here. This year is going to just cruise by, hold on to your pants everyone...2011 will be here before we know it!! I'm not brave enough to Vlog just yet, but Mama M did :) She's too funny! Make sure you head over to her blog and check it out!

1. Is there something you've always wanted to try but just can't muster up the courage to actually do yet?
I would love to go Skydiving! It's on my bucket list :) I don't know when I'll muster up the courage to do that. I may be 60 and still have yet to do it...or who knows, maybe I'll be 80 and the oldest skydiver in history!! I won't do it alone, so until I find someone who will go with, it looks like it's still on my bucket list
2. If you had $100 handed to you in cash without your significant other knowing about it, what would you spend it on?
Hmmmm, I'd probably keep it...or put it as down payment on a nice SLR camera! I'm still wanting one really bad. Sooner or later, I will get it. Maybe when I get that promotion :)
3. What was your favorite piece of playground equipment as a child?
Wow, we have to pick just one? I think my favorite part was the swings. I used to love swinging really high and then jumping off to see if I could land on my feet. Most of the times, it was my butt! I always had a stinging feeling when I landed on my feet and just had to fall down anyways. The next best thing about recess at school wasn't really the equipment, it was always the extra stuff in the leader's bag! I loved the jump rope most days
4. Do you prefer a sweet or hearty breakfast?
Eh, as much as I'd love a nice hearty breakfast...mine usually consists of cereal, waffles, cinnamon rolls, or brown sugar toast with cream cheese. I'm a horrible person when it comes to breakfast...I need to eat healthier...look at that list!! WOW
5. Are you a Neat Freak or a Messy Bessy?
Can I beat a Neat Freak Messy Bessy..lol. I'm not one to hoard stuff and have piles everywhere, but I'm not necessarily a neat freak either. I do like to have a clean house, but at this time, there are toys strung out all over the house-dishes in the sink-clothes everywhere, dirty and clean! So, I have my days really. I'd love to say I'm a neat freak and people may look at me that way because I'm always cleaning. I HATE A MESS!!

Follow Friday

I've linked up with these Follow Fridays this week :) Head over to each one and link up, too! We could all use some more "Friends". Hope everyone has an awesome Friday...I'm ready for the weekend

Picture Spring with Natalie's Sentiments

In an effort to learn more about photography and my skills, I'm participating in a photo contest with Natalie's Sentiments. She recently took an online class called "Picture Spring", where you have different challenges and learn more about photography. To me, it's learning more about your surroundings, seeing a new life....a different aspect of an item or place. I think it's exciting! I'd love to participate in their "Picture Summer" class, and I'm hoping I'll get the chance through Natalie :) She is super awesome in sharing this with her viewers and sharing her pictures from her Spring Class! Check her out and maybe enter a couple of pictures yourself. Below are my entries, I can see it now....Picture Spring!

Top 2 Tuesday

Top 2 Tuesday
My Top 2 Dates :)

~Definitely the first date between my hubby and I.
We met online and our first date was concocted after a couple of weeks talking via internet and phone. I played it safe and went to a movie first, if it went well and I knew he wasn't a crazy whack job...we'd do dinner afterwards :) Well, we made it to dinner! **Funny story, I tell him all the time that he's lucky...he made it to dinner with me. Haha." Anyways, we stayed at the restaurant until closing time, talking and just staring at each other. The night was full of laughter and smiles. The laughter came in because while we were there, we had two celebrities grace us with their presence. A table of 4 came in, 2 Elvis impersonators and their GoGo dancers. But wait, not even 45 minutes later...in came Michael Jackson! It was crazy. It made the night even more unforgettable. Who knew, almost 4 years later we'd be happily married with a crazy 2 year old!

~The night Jason proposed.
It was a nasty evening, rainy and windy. We originally had a date planned to go Downtown, and we didn't reschedule. We drove around Downtown, watched crazy people on the Streets get drenched by the rain, and by the water that was splashed up from the cars driving by. We rode past in laughter, as we thought to ourselves " If they were drunk, they're definitely sober now from the rude awakening of water to the face!" It was bad, lol. We arrived at The Battery, the wind still blowing and rain falling. We got out and made a run for the Gazebo in the middle of the park. After a few minutes of standing around, looking like fools. He grabbed me, and put me under his jacket. He held me close and proceeded to tell me how he felt about me. The last sentence was a dead giveaway. "I don't want to live without you" He reached into his pocket and knelt down with a ring box in his hand and asked me that famous 4 word phrase...and of course I said yes!!! It was an evening I'll never forget....a dreary night with a happy ending.

There ya have it, my Top 2 Dates. Make sure you head over to Tay's and read what others had to say about their dates...and maybe link up yourself!

Yellow Fellow & iHeartFaces

Yellow are the taxi tops
the butterflies and bumblebees
juicy lemons, sunflowers and falling leaves.
Yellow is for egg yolk, a fever's name,
the colour of yellow pages directory.
Yellow is for sun ornaments of gold,
colour of papers that are preserved and old.
Yellow are the mustard fields
also a colour of wisdom and intellect.
Yellow is for charming smiles for youth,
exuberance and cowardice
yellow is for warmth and inspiration
to make people smile is its purpose.

This week, iheartfaces has the theme of yellow!
And like the poem said, I think yellow and I see smiles :)
My picture illustrates the smiles and laughter from Kainen
as he experiences the kiddie pool for the first time.
The first five minutes were filled with jumps and splashes,
a mouth full of water, pure fun.
I was grinning ear to ear, seeing my son enjoy
the water and sun on such a pretty spring day!
The look he has on his face is simply priceless.
It's a smile full of laughter and joy,
and maybe a slight bit of shock from the many splashes in his face (hence the tongue out, lol).

Not Me Monday

In an effort to finish up the unpacking of bags and boxes here at our new place, I most certainly did not decide to just put random boxes and bags in storage. And I did not stuff a bag of clothes in the closet on the shelf, just to get it out of the way. I was not being lazy, when I have been complaining about having everything in it's place...nope, Not Me!
During a very slow hour at work, and after everything was done on our to-do list, a fellow associate and I did not proceed to check size 7 shoes to see how they fit us! We did not try on all the styles and tell each other how they looked. And I will not buy a shoe from the store I work at, just because they add color to my outfit... and I can tell a child firsthand how they feel :)
I did not go crazy the other day with a can of spray paint. I had a project to do, to paint a hideous FREE lamp we got the right color....and I did not attack 3 other item with said paint :) I do not have an overload of Bahama Breeze colored decor in my house!
And speaking of projects to do, I have not searched craigslist daily for free or cheap items that I can attack with more paint and mod podge. I'm not going to be that crazy craft lady (my husband calls me that) who perks up an old shelf, cigar box or even a cookie sheet with paper and jewels or whatever else I can get my hands on. Nope, not me!
Make sure you head over to MckMama's blog to see other's Not Me Mondays :)

Getting to Know You

I recently stumbled upon Keely's blog, and she does a "Getting to Know You" post every Sunday. I decided to jump on the wagon this week. Little did I know it would get some personal on my first Link Up :)

1. Do you have a fetish?
Heehee, wow. Well, there's the feather boa and leather whip.... Well, not really!! I'm really not that kinda girl :) I'm not sure if I have a fetish. Unless you go along the route that I love to do crafts, I have a Mod Podge fetish

2. Do you sing in the shower?
Only if there's music playing. I'm not one to randomly burst into song. " I'm singing in the rain, just singing in the rain! What a glorious fee......Oh, excuse me"

3. Who was your first crush?
Are we counting fiction or nonfiction. Because my first real crush, it wasn't a realistic one...he couldn't be touched :( I mean, he's realistic, just not within reach. Anyways, my first crush (celebrity wise) was Jonathan Brandis. Ahhh, Ladybugs and Sidekicks....those were the times! And then, my school girl crush...his name was Shawn. We were close and good buddies from 1st-4th grade.

4. What do you think is the best manly trait a guy could have?
Hard Worker, Supportive, Caring...The list could go on. A true gentleman who protects his family :) Sounds like my kinda guy!

5. Do you sleep naked?
In my husband's dreams! The closest I get to naked is without shorts/sleep pants on. That's not for his satisfaction though, it's for my own...because I get super hot under covers.

6. What do you do when (you think) no one is looking?
What everyone does, pick a wedgie/adjust my pants. Come on, it's so uncomfortable...you have to adjust! I sometimes check my teeth too. You never know when you may have that something hanging around, 9 times outta 10, no one will tell you!!

7. What's the first thing you do when you go online?
Head onto Facebook and check and write on the Harbor. I bring up two tabs! I'm a multitasker

8. Summer is.....?
exciting, fun. This will be my first summer without that wretched humidity in the South. I can't wait for lazy days at the pool with my boys!

He's a funny kid!

After a couple weeks of hearing the most random stuff come out of my child's mouth, I think it's about time I start a book (or blog post) with all his ramblings. Please take into consideration that it would be a lot cuter in person, but I cannot exactly write the toddler talk into words...you simply get what I know he's saying. Yep, that's right, I can translate toddler talk. I'm a genius, I tell you :)

So let's start this off with a bang ***

Last night, as I was cleaning up the house, I had the radio playing and a particular dance/rap song came on. I proceeded to tell Kainen he needed to "get low" as the song had said. He wasn't up for going low. "No mama, I shake my booty (as he points to his booty)...look, shake your booty Momma!" That comes from a time when I told him ONCE that he should shake his booty and dance. Boy can this kid remember stuff quick.

He has also learned a new phrase, "What's up"...or as toddler speak (or SCREAM speak, if you've seen the movie, you know why I said this) "Wassssuuuupppp!" He has decided to ask that to everyone where ever we are, and to Daddy and Papaw. I think it has replaced his "whatchyou doin". It's so cute!

On a recent trip to Walmart, he belted out with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star and sang it for a good 2 aisles. We happened to grab the attention of a couple people, but one in particular commented on it. "He just made my day, that's too cute." He always assumes we are going to clap for anything cute or smart thing he does. Nothing's better than K telling us and the random Walmart shopper "Clap, YAY!!! I did it....CLAP." He can be such a ham.....and a little bossy floss!

Nana and Papaw have this thing with Kainen. They squeeze him real tight and count to 3, and on 3...they shake him and tickle him. Along with the tickling, it's the "Get your biscuits (buttocks) that is the cutest thing. It's even better when it's out of the mouth's of babes. K randomly did it at the dinner table, complete with counting and "Get your biscuits, get your biscuits." Oh, and on that said trip to Walmart. It's the cutest thing, he even does a little tickling of his own to get your biscuits....he doesn't know what he should go for, it's just a random tickle. I'll have to record it :)

Welp, that's my kid's random cuteness for the day. I'm sure there will be more to come, I've got my pen and paper ready to take down notes.

My child, he amazes me more and more every day!

Five Question Friday

Here we go again.....5QF brought to you by Mama M!

1. Do you have an iPhone and, if so, how do you get apps and what are your favorites?
I do not currently own an iPhone, but I did before....and I can't remember the apps I had. Plus, it was one the "original" came out. It wasn't as high-tech as it is now...not that a touch screen blah blah blah phone isn't high tech. I just don't remember there being a wide selection of good apps available!
2. What is your fondest memory of K-3rd grade?
Hhhmmm, being young and irresponsible!! Haha, those were the good ole' days. :) For real though, I'd say it was the days of playground time at school and outings after school with the family. Mostly, I enjoyed being away from normal school activities.
3. What makes you cringe at the thought of touching?
Anything slimy...bugs that bite or have a bazillion legs. OOh, then there's fire...I can't stand the heat!! (Hence, I'm rarely in the kitchen lol)
4. If you could have any celebrity show up on your doorstep who would it be and why?
Oh wow, just one?!? That's so unfair. However, I'd choose Ellen DeGeneres. She has a way of making everyone laugh, smile...dance! We share the same birthday, too...PARTAY :) And added bonus would be the fact that if she does she up on your doorstep (or perhaps her friend, Jeannie) then she's bringing along something else, too. I love Ellen...and so does Kainen. I can see it now. When she comes out on her show, he jumps up and down and screams "Ellen!!!" He'd either do the same or either be silent because he wouldn't be sure if it was her. It's too cute though.
5. What would you say is your best physical feature?
I love my blue eyes! I get compliments frequently, and I also get asked if they're contacts. Apparently, it's a unique blue...it's very light. I love my baby blues.

Charleston, SC

Kelly has a fun reoccurring theme on her blog called Show Us Your Life. Each week she has a different theme, and this week is Show Us Your Hometown! I immediately jumped at the opportunity to blog about my hometown; one- because I love it so and two- because I miss my "home".
I'm a true Southern Gal, born and raised in the state of South Carolina. I am proud to be a Charlestonian! The city in which I grew up in carries with it a lot of history and pride. I used to love going out around Downtown and play tourist (as you've seen in previous posts), have pride in the Navy with the Yorktown, spend relaxing days on the beach, Shop at the Market, dip my feet in the Pineapple at Waterfront. I just love Charleston.
Here you've got Rainbow Row :) Perfectly pictured by a talented local Artist Jim Booth! He is a talented man. He captures with his paintbrush, the true beauty of my hometown.
There are plenty of Historic Gardens and Plantations to visit! Middleton Place (shown) is my favorite. There is also Magnolia Plantation, Boone Hall Plantation, and Drayton Hall. So much history and beauty awaits you at each location!

You can visit the USS Yorktown at Patriots Point and learn alot of History as you walk aboard. It's set along the Charleston Harbor, so the views are amazing. There, you can also take a ferry to Ft Sumter...which holds even more history!

There's the beautiful Waterfront Park, where you can play in the water at the spray fountain or wade in the water at the Pineapple. It was a great date nigt location for the hubby and I :)

This is an aerial shot of Charleston, South Carolina...the Holy City. If you were to look closely, you can see why we are the Holy City. I believe there are over 140 church steeples that mark our city skyline!
Then, last but not least...you can't forget the popularity with chick flicks here!! Nicolas Sparks seems to be drawn towards the city. If you've seen The Notebook or Dear John, you've seen bits and pieces of my hometown. Two great movies who showcased our city well! I remember this scene in the movie and thinking to myself, "HA, I've walked those streets!!!" It's fun to see your city in a movie, especially when it's set back a couple decades.
There ya have it! My hometown. I hope you enjoyed the visit! It was nice to go back and reminisce, I surely do get homesick. Make sure you head over to Kelly's and visit other's hometowns. You never know, you could possibly make a "Trip" around the US in one day :)
"Yall come back now!"

I've Come To Realize....

I’ve come to realize that my body image is a constant battle. I have my good days where I'm out enjoying life, feeling good...then there's the bad where I just want to sit and eat a tub of ice cream and watch The Biggest Loser. HA :P
I’ve come to realize that my job is the best thing that has come around at this point in my life. It makes the time with my boys more precious; and I'm meeting new people, making new friends
I’ve come to realize that when I’m driving I'm at my best, completely mellow and oblivious to what's happening around me. Which is kinda scary once I write it down...but it's more that I'm unaware of the stress etc. in my life, not that I'm unaware of my surroundings. EEK! I'm just relaxed and tuned in to the music playing and the open road
I’ve come to realize that I need support. From my family, my friends, my husband. This new journey that I've embarked on has been a stressful and happy point in my life. Support is the number one thing I need from everyone in my life!
I’ve come to realize that I have lost my marbles.....no seriously, real marbles :) Actually, I've lost quite a few things in our move. They're not lost for good, just lost in boxes and bags!
I’ve come to realize that I hate the feeling of failure. It sure has lingered around a bit lately. It's like that raincloud that sits above your head. Well, Mr Cloud...I could use some sun please! However, it comes and goes...today I had some sunshine in my life
I’ve come to realize that if I’m drunk...................(there wouldn't be anything here LOL)
I’ve come to realize that money comes and goes. You're working hard for your money, you get paid, you deposit your earnings...and back out it goes to pay for bills. AAAhhhh, the life of a grown up!
I’ve come to realize that certain people need to grow up....mature! We'll just leave it at that!
I’ve come to realize that I’ll always remember my People to People Ambassador trips to Australia and Europe. Those were two summers I will never forget. Learning new cultures, making new friends from the States and abroad, seeing Famous landmarks. It's unforgettable! I’ve come to realize that my sibling(s) are one in a million. My oldest sister is an amazing mom and a great sister....she's been there for me when I needed her and even been there to tell me the hard truth of things...and even though I don't take most of your advice, I'm still happy to know you care! I miss you :( And I've come to realize that my little sis is such a teen queen! And by that, I mean she's all over the JoBro scene and Taylor Swift. She's growing up too fast.
I’ve come to realize that my mom is my best friend and the greatest mom a daughter could have! We have a great relationship, I couldn't-wouldn't ask for anything more

I’ve come to realize that my cell phone is my lifeline...it's pretty much a mini computer (if you can go any tinier that my HP Mini lol). I use it for Facebook, twitter, internet, blogging...everything. Plus, it keeps me in touch with my family. I don't know what I'd do without my Crackberry (because it's an addiction, hehe)
I’ve come to realize that when I woke up this morning, I immediately jumped up thinking I had slept through my alarm. I have a lot of those mornings when I'm due at work. I have this fear of waking up 2 hours late. But, I'm a light sleeper....so I doubt it'll ever happen. But once that happens, the jumping up, I'm WIDE awake!
I’ve come to realize that last night before I went to sleep, I knew I wanted to have dreams of Gerard Butler :) No, kidding....we just finished watching Gamer, he's one fine man! But really, I realized that I should've gone to bed earlier....I'm having serious sleep deprivation. (Hence, the blog post at 1am)
I’ve come to realize that right now I am thinking that I should be making myself more useful and unpacking some boxes instead of blogging at 1am...or better yet, I should be sleeping!
I’ve come to realize that my dad loves my sister and I more than he lets on. He wasn't what you'd call a trophy dad, but I think he's doing his best nowadays. Between a lot of stress from a Traumatic event (google Charleston 9) and a Triple Bypass...I think he's a better person. He calls more, he apologizes, he helps.

I’ve come to realize that when I get on Facebook, I don't get off for hours. Whether it's catching up with old friends or "stalking" others....it's addicting. And when you add it the little apps such as Farmville, time gets easily wasted (However, my Farm has been neglected...OOps)
I’ve come to realize that today is going to be a good day. Cleaning up the house, training for work....and the Grey's Finale!!
I’ve come to realize that tomorrow we will have a clean and unpacked apartment. At least I hope so. I'm tired of looking at bags and boxes, I would like everything in it's place. I've come to realize that magic fairies who clean houses do not exist. Such a pity!
I’ve come to realize that I really want to win the lottery. Please, universe. I will do great things with the money, I promise.
I’ve come to realize that the person mostly likely to repost this is Sara, or my sister..but who knows!
I’ve come to realize that life is full of ups and downs, mistakes and triumphs. You learn as you grow, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!!!
I’ve come to realize that this weekend is going to be a weekend of relaxation and movies. I have Friday and Saturday off and nothing planned. A little baby girl, niece, is supposed to make her appearance Friday morning..but that's all my excitement for this weekend.
I’ve realized the best music to listen to when I am upset is anything Michael Buble. The sound of his voice is relaxing and the words to his songs are uplifting. Same goes for Josh Groban!
I've come to realize that my friends are few and far away. I'm hoping to make some new friends here in Cincinnati. It'd be great to have a Girl's Night or Game Nights again. I miss my friends in SC.
I’ve come to realize that this year has been a trying, but proving to be a growing experience- kind of year. I've been in my first car accident, I've moved away from family, lived on a very low income, and became a Part time Stay at home Mom. It's been a stressful path along the way, but I've learned from it all and only plan to strive for success on the rest of the journey.
I’ve come to realize that my husband has great book smarts....and can be a complete goof. Nothing like having a man who knows his math and computer etc skills, but then can act all silly and be in love with a snuggy!! HEHEHEI love that man :) (wonder if he'll read this, lol)
I’ve come to realize that maybe I should really sit down and focus on my crafts. I've got lots of projects to finish. Plus, I'd really like to get an Etsy shop running...but who knows
I’ve come to realize that I love my life! I am blessed beyond measure. I have 2 boys who love me, a family who supports me, a job I love and a roof over my head! It's all I need in life
I’ve come to realize that I don’t understand technology. I may be good with MY computer, but there's just some things I don't understand about this world and the technology that is coming about. It's crazy how much we have evolved! I remember the chunky flip pones and huge box tv's...and I thought those were nifty and difficult. Now there's flat screens with 1080p and touch screen phones. WOW!
I’ve come to realize my past is just that.. my past. Something to remember and learn from, but to move on from.
I’ve come to realize that parties are not my thing. I can’t think of anything worse than having to make conversation with people I don’t know. (I am horribly shy.)
I’ve come to realize that my life is amazing....worthwhile.....BLESSED

Five Question Friday

1. Take your pick...date night, girls night out, or night out alone?
This can go only two ways: I'm not one to go out alone so that's out of the question... I'd love to have a Girl's Night out, but I think some girl friends would be needed (I'm currently working on making some friends) and Date nights have been few and far between!! I think my pick would be Date night, most definitely
2. Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
I'm not that talented! Nor can I roll my tongue. I'm trying to teach my kiddo to touch his tongue to his nose, he actually forces it...it's too cute :)
3. What is your favorite flower and why?
As far as a garden goes, I love Hydrangeas....I think they are beautiful. If it was a bouquet from the hubs, anything goes as long as it contains white roses
4. If you could go back in time, what advice would you give yourself?
Believe in yourself, don't doubt your abilities. Be strong, Be confident! I'm sure if I knew that then, I would be a better person today!
5. If you won the lottery, what is the very first thing you would do?
I would wonder if I was being punk'd :) and I'd do a double, maybe triple check on the numbers...ya know what the odds are?!?! But, IF we won the lottery, the first thing I would do with the money would be to pay off some of our debt and get ahead on some bills. If you were to ask me at a better time in our life, I'd probably say something more materialistic or compassionate...like pay for a vacation and donate to a local charity, help out family. But right now, I'm being selfish. Now, as I type this...I'm so wishing upon that star to give us a lottery win. Pretty pretty please!

Thanks Mama M for another fun 5QF!

Home Sweet Home

A few posts back I had mentioned that we were making it official, becoming Buckeyes....well, that time has finally come. There were a few bumps in the road and they've all been paved down to smooth surfaces. We officially have our own place.....and the Hubs has found a job!!!! Finally, things are falling into place. It's been a very stressful couple of weeks. One by one, each thing has disappeared, making my life less stressful...and I feel very blessed! We're not in our place completely because we've had tons of rain. However, I like the slow pace...it makes it easier to get everything in it's place. We're unpacking boxes that we do have and putting the beds (thank God we have those) together so we can have a place to rest our tired bodies at night. I love our new place, too. It's just as good as the other one we originally wanted, minus the quiet neighbors ;) We have a fireplace, 2 spacious bedrooms, 2 huge closets, an apartment in the back of the community surrounded by trees, and a lot of friendly neighbors. We couldn't have picked a better place! And now, since we have an address to put on our Ohio license...we're heading to the DMV tomorrow to officially become Buckeyes.
My job has become a place I love. I love the people I work with, the children and families I help, and I especially love my boss! It's a great place to work and I'm happy that I enjoy working. There's a huge possibility that I may be getting promoted soon to the "Asst Manager"; meaning more hours, more responsibility, and more pay. I'm super stoked about that opportunity and I hope it arises soon. Thanks Kristy for giving me the chance and believing in me! I thought it was going to be a hard task in becoming a part-time SAHM..but it makes my time with K even more precious. Plus, nothing is sweeter than coming home and having my son tell me he missed me and I receive big hugs!! I love being his Mommy.
Home sweet home is still missing a few things, ie Internet (still hijacking *lol*) and Cable- A washer and dryer- A comfy couch and Recliner.. I'm hoping that by week's end we will be all settled and Home Sweet Home will be even sweeter!

Happy Wednesday :) I'm ready for the weekend, are you?

5 Question Friday

So, since we've been hijacking our family's internet, I figured I would go ahead and do my 5 question Friday a couple hours early. I always enjoy going to My Little Life and reading what her answers are and to search deep down for my own :)

1. What is your worst memory of your siblings?
Haha, I'm curious to see what my sister has to say....because I've been sitting here and I cannot think of a thing. Why is my brain not cooperating?!? I'm sure there's something, haha.
2. What was YOUR naughtiest childhood memory? (Must be something YOU did, no pawning it off on someone else!)
Gosh, I have to just choose one...Can I get back to ya?!? No, seriously...I feel like a party pooper because I'm skipping out on the first two questions. Why am I avoiding my childhood memories....
3. Where do you like to go to relax?
I like being outside. As weird as it sounds, I'm thinking the zoo or a trail is a good place to relax. Being outside and seeing the wondrous creation God has given us, it relaxes me. And then if you thrown in a book or good company, it's all good! Now I'm needing a day like that
4. What was the last thing you won?
HHHMmmm, the last thing I won was from a blog I follow. It pays to follow, I tell ya! I won a little bumblebee ride on toy for Kainen. He wants to ride it every day, it's too cute.
5. If you could be on a game show, which would you choose?
Wow, that's a tough one....I know Jeopardy is definitely out of the question, unless it's teen week. I know for sure my brain definitely doesn't cooperate when it comes to super smarts :) I'm pretty good at Wheel of Fortune and I wouldn't mind to do Let's Make a Deal...and I'm not too good at the arcade version of Deal or No Deal (I always end up with $100 or less...bummer), otherwise I'd be up for that. But, where's my luck when it comes to actually having a chance to be on one of those shows!

Thankful Thursday

I have lots to be thankful for, but I still wish I could add a couple more things to my list. But that doesn't take away from the list of things I am thankful for.

We got a call today from the apartment complex we checked out the other day. Our application was accepted, and we move in this weekend! The previous apartment we looked at (ya know, with the old man cracking jokes about the cemetery), things just didn't work out. Things were better at this new place, more storage and bigger rooms etc. Unfortunately, the rent is a little bit more, but I'm hoping we'll manage. I'm super thankful we have a place to live now. This whole situation we've been in has not been fun at all. Another thing to be thankful for is the fact that there is such a thing as "Northern" hospitality. A lady came into my place of work the other day and we started talking, I told her about my situation and she gave me a list of numbers (including hers) and is helping us in our search for help in careers and even said she'd be here for me for drinks or dinner. She's already called once since she's been in and I'm super thankful to know that there are people out there who think about others, who aren't selfish.

I'll be even more thankful when my husband finds a place to work, I wish it wasn't so difficult. And I'll be even more thankful when I'm not stealing internet and tv from my bro-in laws....although, I'm super thankful they've been cooking for us and letting us barge in on their territory. Gosh, there's lots out there..I'm sure the list could go on and on as I keep thinking and talking about it all.

I'm thankful...and I'm only hoping it can get better from here!

Winner Winner

The lucky Mommy who won the Clingy Cord is Candice over at Together 24

The winner was chosen via Random.org and through my child. He just loves the number 2 :) Funny how that works!

I personally know this lovely lady, she's my sister, and I know she will get good use out of the Clingy Cord. Congrats
